My name is Parker. I am a silver male Weim, right now the guess is I'm about 5 yrs old.
Today my day started about 8a. A nice volunteer from a small dog rescue pulled me out of a shelter. She couldn't believe how big I was! I'm probably about 80lbs. A nice size for a Weim, but she has little dogs. But I won her over. She said I was a special guy and she would miss me. I knew her from the shelter.
Then it was on to part two of my day. I met another volunteer (also my blogger, how convenient is that!) So she can tell you all about me.
I won her over as soon as I met her. I admit I'm a lover, so I gave her a few kisses. I got up in to the crate in the car, well, with a bit of help. I was very quiet in my crate, not a peep all the way there. Most of the time I just laid down and looked out the window.
The drive was a little over an hour. Then we got to the meeting spot! I couldn't believe it! I looked around and saw a few other dogs that looked just like me. I was very friendly with them, but not pushy. One male growled at me, but my transporter diverted my attention to something else. So I didn't do anything, I just ignored him.
I do have a habit of leaning. I like to sit and lean. And I smile a lot, and wag what little tail I do have.
The lady that transported me had a man with her, I liked him to, he walked me on my leash and I went with him. Then I sat and leaned on him.
I think I'm going to like this rescue thing. It is fun so far.
I am neutered and I have all my vaccines. And I am negative for Heartworm (check our medical blog). YEAH!
Big Smiles and Gentle Leaning,
Parker
